This latest part of the project is trying to inform about the motives, attitudes and points of view of the "third" party: the clients.
This whole project provides with simple facts, clear statements and witness accounts - but mirrors not any political discussions
and ethic conclusions. But being consequent in the collection of witness material around the problem of forced prostitution
it is just logical to try to collect client's confessions as well.
Bulgaria
A witness account showing how difficult it can be to get a girl off the street in Bulgaria.
Germany/Czechia
One of the rather encouraging statements, showing that not all clients walk ignorant and blind through life. I wish I would receive more of this, and not always anonymous.
Macedonia
A soldier telling us in this rare interview about visits in a brothel with forced prostitutes in Tetovo.
Germany/Czechia/Ukraine
In this scan of a fax, a guy alarms an NGO that in an explicit brothel bad things are going on. He also tries to raise budget for a 'rescue mission', though he is dealing with unusual high figures for this scene. In the text he seems trying to avoid to come out as a 'john', though it is very obvious that he was.
The Netherlands
A client talks in detail about his experiences in Amsterdam.
Poland/Spain
Impressive account on experiences with East European prostitutes.
U.A.E./Saudi Arabia/Dubai
Help us!
It is difficult to get statements, confessions or witness accounts from people who have been clients of prostitutes. If you have this experiences and want to help us, please write your witness account. We don't want to know who you are, so you can write anonymous. You can also change names or places, if it helps you with your decision. We are not here to judge or to assess. But with your confession you can help to make a problem more understood by the public. You can help to make people understand the difference between "conventional prostitution" and "forced prostitution with minors" - which we regard as our mission. If you want to write, click here. Thank you.
